Mets sign INF Danny Espinosa to a Minor League contract

The New York Mets announced today that the club has signed infielder Danny Espinosa to a minor league contract and invited him to major league Spring Training.

The New York Mets announced today that the club has signed infielder Danny Espinosa to a minor league contract and invited him to major league Spring Training.
Espinosa, 31, has played parts of eight years in the majors with the Nationals, Rays, Angels and Mariners. He's hit 98 homers, driven in 316 runs, swiped 64 bases and scored 367 runs in 872 major league games. 
The 6-0, 205-pound switch-hitter had a career-high 24 home runs and 72 RBI in 2016 with Washington. He played for three different organizations (Philadelphia, Los Angeles-NL and Toronto) in 2018, all at the Triple-A level.
