Miami Marlins announce 2017 Opening Day 25-man roster

The Miami Marlins today announced their 2017 Opening Day 25-man roster, making the following transactions to set the roster: contract of Tyler Moore selected; Odrisamer Despaigne, Jeff Locke and Martín Prado placed on the 10-day DL.

The Miami Marlins today announced their 2017 Opening Day 25-man roster, making the following transactions to set the roster: contract of Tyler Moore selected; Odrisamer Despaigne, Jeff Locke and Martín Prado placed on the 10-day DL.
 
The Club will open the season carrying 13 pitchers, two catchers, six infielders and four outfielders for its Opening Day game tomorrow at Nationals Park vs. the Washington Nationals at 1:05 pm.
 
The 25-man roster is as follows:
 
PITCHERS (13): RHP Kyle Barraclough, LHP Wei-Yin Chen, LHP Adam Conley, RHP Tom Koehler, RHP Dustin McGowan, RHP David Phelps, RHP AJ Ramos, RHP Dan Straily, RHP Junichi Tazawa, RHP José Ureña, RHP Edinson Volquez, RHP Nick Wittgren and RHP Brad Ziegler.
 
CATCHERS (2): A.J. Ellis and J.T. Realmuto.
 
INFIELDERS (6): Justin Bour, Derek Dietrich, Dee Gordon, Adeiny Hechavarria, Tyler Moore and Miguel Rojas.
 
OUTFIELDERS (4): Marcell Ozuna, Giancarlo Stanton, Ichiro Suzuki and Christian Yelich.
 
10-DAY DL (3): RHP Odrisamer Despaigne (left oblique strain; retro to March 30), LHP Jeff Locke (left shoulder tendinitis; retro to March 30), and INF Martín Prado (left hamstring strain; retro to March 30).
