November 15th, 2018

With a new brand comes a new mission. The Miami Marlins, who revealed the team's new logo and colors, will immerse themselves in the South Florida community on Friday, November 16, to celebrate the new beginning. The organization, led by Marlins CEO Derek Jeter, Marlins Presidents Chip Bowers and Michael Hill, and Marlins players Sandy Alcantara, Lewis Brinson, Pablo López, Peter O'Brien, Trevor Richards and José Ureña, will make more than 25 stops at popular locations in Miami-Dade and Broward counties on Friday.

In addition, the city of Miami will be lit up in the Miami Marlins colors on Friday. The following buildings will be lit up in Miami Blue: Miami Tower, Frost Museum, InterContinental Miami, Beacon Hotel and Freedom Tower. Fans can also view murals of #OurColores at the following locations: Suniland Park (12855 S Dixie Hwy), Coral Gables (4701 SW 8th Street), Little Havana (1380 SW 8th Street), Brickell (650 S Miami Avenue), Coconut Grove (2400 SW 27th Street), Wynwood (3328 Miami Avenue), and Miami Beach (1415 NE 79 Street).

The day will conclude with the annual Miami Marlins Neighborhood Thanksgiving Distribution at Marlins Park, beginning at 5 p.m. The Marlins have partnered with Feeding South Florida and local community agencies to provide 1,000 families in the Little Havana neighborhood with a turkey and other food items to help them prepare for their family's Thanksgiving meal. Marlins CEO Derek Jeter, Marlins players Sandy Alcantara and José Ureña, and Marlins alumnus Gaby Sanchez along with Marlins staff members will distribute food items to families.

The Miami Marlins will be taking part in an additional signature event this weekend. On Saturday, Nov. 17, Pablo López will serve as the Grand Marshall at the Miracle on 136th Street Parade at the Falls Shopping Center, which begins at 1 p.m.
