Minnesota Twins homestand highlights, April 13-18

Detroit Tigers and Toronto Blue Jays; Special “Game of Thrones” viewing party scheduled for Sunday, April 14

Tickets are available for the Twins upcoming six-game homestand at Target Field (April 13-18) and the remainder of the 2019 home schedule, and can be purchased at twinsbaseball.com, by using the MLB Ballpark app, calling 1-800-33-TWINS, or by visiting the Target Field Ticket Office. Please note that the deadline to purchase 2019 Twins Pass ticket packages is Wednesday, April 24 (those purchasing a Twins Pass now will have access to games beginning May 1).

Sunday, April 14 vs. Detroit Tigers (1:10 p.m.)

Kids Day presented by Gillette Children’s Specialty Healthcare – Every Sunday, kids’ meals are half price—just $4 – thanks to Gillette Children’s Specialty Healthcare! Before the game, kids 12 and younger can get free autographs from a Twins player. Postgame, kids can run the bases courtesy of Twin Cities Orthopedics.

Join us in Bat & Barrel after the Twins-Tigers series finale for the season premiere of the final Game of Thrones season! We will air the show live on each of Bat & Barrel’s screens, while fans can also take their photo with the Iron Throne. This event is FREE, but fans must register online to claim their free ticket and reserve their spot (food and beverages will be available for purchase in Bat & Barrel). Please note that remaining seating is extremely limited and expected to go quickly.

  • Jackie Robinson Day – As has been tradition each April 15th since 2004, the Twins will join all of Major League Baseball in commemorating Jackie Robinson Day. All players will again wear the iconic Number ‘42’ to honor the anniversary of Robinson’s historic debut, while the Twins’ centennial celebration of Robinson’s birth will also feature several on-field elements:
  • Through the club’s “Reading is Powerful” program, the Twins are inviting select kids, nominated by their teachers as embodying Jackie Robinson’s Nine Values, to take part in on-field ceremonies and be recognized during the game.
  • St. Paul Mayor Melvin Carter – the city’s first African-American mayor – will throw out the ceremonial first pitch.
  • The varsity baseball teams from north Minneapolis’ Patrick Henry High School and North Community High School will stand on the field with their major league counterparts during the playing of the Star-Spangled Banner.
