MLB Network sets widespread 2022 World Series coverage plans

MLB Central, High Heat, MLB Now, Intentional Talk and MLB Tonight blanket MLB Network's coverage of the 2022 World Series presented by Capital One

MLB Network to cover 2022 World Series Media Day live tomorrow at 3 p.m. ET from Minute Maid Park

October 26, 2022 - MLB Network is set to provide more coverage of the 2022 World Series presented by Capital One than ever before in its 14-year history. Beginning Oct. 27, on-site presence from Minute Maid Park and Citizens Bank Park will be featured on MLB Central presented by Best Western, High Heat presented by Camping World, MLB Now presented by Fisher Investments, Intentional Talk presented by Evan Williams Bourbon and MLB Tonight presented by Evan Williams Bourbon. More than 25 different personalities will contribute across the coverage featuring in-depth analysis, revealing interviews, on-field demonstrations, high-end video elements and wall-to-wall highlights. Featuring the American League Champion Houston Astros against the National League Champion Philadelphia Phillies, notable World Series programming highlights include:

  • Greg Amsinger and Harold Reynolds will co-host from 2022 World Series Media Day, Oct. 27 at 3 p.m. ET at Minute Maid Park;
  • Robert Flores, Mark DeRosa and Lauren Shehadi will co-host MLB Central (9 a.m. ET) throughout the Fall Classic for the first time in program history;
  • Christopher Russo and Alanna Rizzo will team up for their second consecutive World Series together on High Heat (3 p.m. ET);
  • Brian Kenny and Joel Sherman will work their eighth straight World Series on MLB Now (4 p.m. ET). Analysts Yonder Alonso and 1986 World Series Champion Ron Darling will contribute to the program on a rotating basis;
  • Stephen Nelson and 2004 World Series Champion Kevin Millar will co-host Intentional Talk (5 p.m. ET) for the second consecutive Fall Classic;
  • The multiple Emmy Award-winning MLB Tonight will air live before (6 p.m. ET) and after every game, with contributions from Greg Amsinger, Fran Charles, Matt Vasgersian, Adnan Virk, Matt Yallof, three-time World Series Champion Al Leiter, Carlos Peña, 2004 World Series Champion and Hall of Famer Pedro Martinez, Emmy Award-winning analyst Harold Reynolds and Chris Young;
  • Host Siera Santos along with 2017 World Series Champion Cameron Maybin, Anthony Recker and Xavier Scruggs will contribute to MLB Network’s World Series programming for the first time;
  • Reporters Scott Braun (Astros) and Lauren Gardner (Phillies) will contribute live updates, including exclusive one-on-one interviews with players, across the coverage;
  • Dave Flemming (play-by-play) and Dan Plesac (analyst) will call every game of the World Series for MLB International produced by MLB Network.

MLB Network’s World Series programming will be available anywhere in the United States via an authenticated live stream to customers of participating pay TV providers through the MLB app and MLBNetwork.com/Watch. Clips and social-first content with personalities will be featured across MLB Network’s social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat, Twitter and YouTube.
