The Washington Nationals recalled from rehab assignment and reinstated outfielder Michael A. Taylor (left knee/hip sprain) from the 10-day injured list and optioned outfielder Andrew Stevenson to Triple-A Fresno on Monday. Nationals President of Baseball Operations and General Manager Mike Rizzo made the announcement.

Taylor, 28, returns to the active roster after having missed the first eight games of the 2019 season with a right knee/hip sprain. He appeared in four rehab games with Double-A Harrisburg, going 3-for-16 (.188) with a home run, an RBI and one run scored.

In 2018, Taylor played in 134 games, his most since 2015 and ranked tied for seventh in the National League with 24 stolen bases. He recorded a career-best 13-game hitting streak from June 2-22, hitting .419 (18-for-43) with four doubles, one home run, seven RBI, four walks, nine stolen bases and eight runs scored.

Stevenson, 24, hit .250 (1-for-4) with one walk, one hit by pitch and two runs scored in six games for the Nationals.
