A's Hire Wade Martin as Vice President of Corporate Partnerships and Hospitality

The Oakland Athletics have hired Wade Martin as Vice President of Corporate Partnerships and Hospitality, the club announced today.

The Oakland Athletics have hired Wade Martin as Vice President of Corporate Partnerships and Hospitality, the club announced today. In his role, Martin will oversee partnerships sales, partnership marketing and retention, and corporate hospitality sales. Martin will join the front office on August 21.
"Wade has a proven track record of building teams, developing packaging and go to market strategies, and driving significant revenue growth," said Oakland A's COO Chris Giles. "In addition to his extensive experience on the team side, his experience leading the sales and strategy for naming rights and marquee partnerships while with WME | IMG will be essential to our long-term success."
Martin is joining the A's after a year at WME I IMG as Vice President of Global Partnerships and Naming Rights, where he worked with the Chicago Cubs, Denver Broncos, Boston Celtics and Atlanta Hawks. He was the day-to-day contact for the partnership with the Chicago Cubs, including naming rights for The Park at Wrigley, Cubs baseball integration and programming of events tied to naming rights. Martin has additional experience as Vice President of Partnerships at PCG-SportsDesk Media and the Detroit Lions, as well as a successful stint with the Cincinnati Bengals.
