The Oakland A's will honor Sal Bando, Vida Blue, Bert "Campy" Campaneris, and others from the 1972, 1973, and 1974 from the Swingin' A's on Saturday, May 26, as part of the team's 50th anniversary season. Honorary Bat Girl: Breast cancer survivor and long-time Season Ticket Member Tina Baker has been selected as the A's 2018 Honorary Bat Girl. The Honorary Bat Girl is a league-wide program to raise awareness and support for MLB's "Going to Bat Against Breast Cancer" initiative. Tina was selected based on her personal connection to breast cancer, demonstration of commitment to the battle against breast cancer, and demonstration of substantial local community impact.
