Earlier today Major League Baseball announced its 2022 regular season schedule, which features the Phillies taking on the American League West for both their season and home openers.

The Phillies will start their season on the road against the Houston Astros on March 31 and April 2-3, and Washington Nationals on April 4 and April 6. The team will then host the Oakland A's during Opening Weekend at Citizens Bank Park on April 8-10. A three-game series with the New York Mets will follow on April 11-13. Other highlights include matchups against the Milwaukee Brewers on April 22-24 and Colorado Rockies on April 25-28.

May features more interleague play with two games against the Texas Rangers on May 3-4. The Phillies will play the New York Mets on May 5-8, before hosting four California teams: San Diego Padres on May 17-19, Los Angeles Dodgers on May 20-22, San Francisco Giants on May 30-June 1, and Los Angeles Angels on June 3-5.

"We're excited to join Major League Baseball in announcing our 2022 Phillies schedule," said Phillies Senior Vice President of Ticket Operations & Projects John Weber. "In addition to great division play, the regular season will feature matchups with AL West opponents, such as Shohei Ohtani and Mike Trout from the Los Angeles Angels, making a rare visit to Citizens Bank Park."

Highlights also include weekend series against the St. Louis Cardinals on July 1-3, Chicago Cubs on July 22-24, Washington Nationals on August 4-7 and September 9-11, New York Mets on August 19-21, and Pittsburgh Pirates on August 26-28.

The 2022 home season will conclude with the Phillies facing the AL East Toronto Blue Jays on September 20-21, and Atlanta Braves on September 22-25. The club will wrap up the regular season on the road with the Chicago Cubs on September 27-29 and Washington Nationals on September 30-October 2.
