Pirates and Phillies make trade

July 31st, 2019

The Pittsburgh Pirates today traded outfielder Corey Dickerson to the Philadelphia Phillies for a player to be named later and $250,000 of additional capacity in its 2019-2020 International Signing Bonus Pool, allowing the Pirates to spend an additional $250,000 in this year’s International Signing Period. The announcement was made by Executive Vice President, General Manager Neal Huntington.

The 30-year-old Dickerson, who was in the final year of his contract, was acquired by the Pirates from Tampa Bay on February 22, 2018, in exchange for relief pitcher Daniel Hudson, minor league infielder Tristan Gray and cash considerations.
