Pirates Invite Right-Handed Pitcher Khristian Curtis To Major League Camp As A Non-Roster Pitcher

The Pittsburgh Pirates today announced that the team has invited right-handed pitcher Khristian Curtis to 2026 Major League camp as a non-roster pitcher.

Curtis went a combined 8-5 with a 3.90 ERA (110.2ip/48er), 119 strikeouts and a .219 batting average against in 27 appearances (26 starts) split between High-A Greensboro and Double-A Altoona in 2025.

The 23-year-old Curtis, who led the South Atlantic League with 26 starts last season, entered July with a 5.20 ERA (55.1ip/32er). Over his next 11 starts from July 4-September 3, he went 6-1 with a 2.70 ERA (53.1ip/16er) and a .179 batting average against before being promoted to Altoona on September 14.

Curtis, who started one of Greensboro’s two perfect games in 2025, has gone 10-8 with one save, a 3.97 ERA (186.0ip/82er) and 200 strikeouts in 45 games (42 starts) since making his professional debut in 2024.

The Pirates selected Curtis in the 12th round of the 2023 First-Year Player Draft out of Arizona State University. He is currently rated as Pittsburgh’s No. 15 prospect, according to Baseball America.

There are now 62 players (a full 40-man roster and 22 non-roster invitees) in Major League camp.
