Pirates sign two more players from 2019 Draft

The Pittsburgh Pirates today signed the following players from the 2019 First-Year Player Draft. The announcement was made by Joe DelliCarri, Pirates Senior Director of Amateur Scouting.

Round 11: Jase Bowen, OF, 6-1/185, Toledo Central (OH) Catholic HS

Hit .527 as a junior with 11 doubles, six triples, eight home runs and 25 RBI ... Won the triple crown in batting in the Three Rivers Athletic Conference in 2019 ... Was also named the TRAC Player-of-the-Year in 2019 while also being named to the Division I All-Ohio first-team ... Recorded 40-plus hits during each of his four seasons on the Toledo Central Catholic varsity team ... Was rated by 247Sports.com as a three-star wide receiver ... Had 24 receptions for 322 yards and two touchdowns as a senior while also rushing for 506 yards and 10 touchdowns ... Played for the Kansas City Royals in the East Coast Pro Showcase during the summer of 2018 in Alabama.

Round 17: Ryan Harbin, RHP, 6-3/181, Bartow (FL) Senior High School

Went 0-0 with a 2.74 ERA (30.2ip/12er) and 32 strikeouts in nine appearances as a senior at Bartow Senior High School ... Was named to the 2019 Perfect Game pre-season All-American Team ... Was a member of the Perfect Game 2018 WWBA (World Wood Bat Association) Florida Qualifier All-Tournament team. The Pirates have now signed 31 players from the 2019 draft.
