The Pittsburgh Pirates and Pirates Charities announced, in conjunction with AT&T SportsNet, "Pirates Charities Night on AT&T SportsNet" will take place on Wednesday, August 2, when the Pirates host the Cincinnati Reds at 7:05 p.m. at PNC Park.
AT&T SportsNet will broadcast live during the game from the Rivertowne Brewing Hall of Fame Club and the Riverwalk, the two locations that will host the event inside PNC Park. Specially designed Pirates Home Run and Grand Slam backpacks will be available for purchase, with all proceeds benefitting Pirates Charities and four, local non-profit organizations helping those affected by cancer in the Pittsburgh community including patients, survivors and their families.
Fans can purchase backpacks in three different ways:
Proceeds from this year's event will benefit Pirates Charities, The Cancer Caring Center, Glimmer of Hope "Home for Hope," Lending Hearts and Our Clubhouse.
Home Run and Grand Slam Backpacks are available for a donation of $250 and $700, respectively. Each backpack includes unique items exclusively designed for the "Pirates Charities Night on AT&T SportsNet" event that cannot be purchased anywhere else.
