OAKLAND, Calif. — The Oakland A’s reinstated right-handed pitcher Domingo Acevedo from the 15-day injured list and optioned right-handed pitcher Luis Medina to Triple-A Las Vegas, the club announced today.

Acevedo was on the A’s Opening Day roster and logged a 13.50 ERA in five appearances. He allowed eight runs on 10 hits and a walk in 5.1 innings while striking out four. Acevedo began a rehab assignment with Las Vegas on April 20 and made two relief appearances at Sugar Land on April 20 and 23, allowing three runs on four hits and no walks while fanning two in 2.2 innings.

Medina was recalled on Tuesday and made his Major League debut yesterday. He took the loss in his start and allowed eight runs, seven earned, over 5.0 innings while walking three and striking out six.
