The Office of the Commissioner of Baseball announced today that Arizona Diamondbacks Minor League pitcher Jose Valdez, who is currently on the roster of the Dominican Summer League D-backs, has received a 120-game suspension without pay after testing positive for Stanozolol, his second positive test for a performance-enhancing substance in violation of the Minor League Drug Prevention and Treatment Program.

The suspension of Valdez will be effective at the start of the 2023 season.
