Astros Golf Foundation Confirms 2019 Houston Open Tournament Giveaways

Houston Astros to host Golf Night September 12 at Minute Maid Park in anticipation of the tournament

HOUSTON, TX - The Astros Golf Foundation confirmed today that the 2019 Houston Open tournament will have exclusive gate giveaways Thursday - Sunday for 5,000 fans in attendance, each day of Championship Play! For Houston Open tickets, visit houstonopengolf.com.

Thursday, October 10 - Houston Open Can Cooler (5,000 fans)

Friday, October 11 - Replica Tee Marker, presented by Texas Children’s Hospital (5,000 fans)

Saturday, October 12 - Orange Rally Towel, presented by AmCap Home Loans (5,000 fans)

Sunday, October 13 - Replica Trophy, presented by Schlumberger (5,000 fans)

To get ready for the new Houston Open, the Houston Astros will host Golf Night, presented by GOLFTEC Events at Minute Maid Park on Thursday, September 12. Golf Night will feature multiple golf-themed activations created by the GOLFTEC Events team for fans with a 9/12 game ticket in Union Station from 5:00 p.m. until the 5th inning, including a putting course and golf swing simulators with a long drive and closest to the pin competition with prizes! Professional golfer and University of Texas graduate Jhonattan Vegas will be in attendance host a pregame meet and greet with a limited number of fans and will also throw out the ceremonial first pitch. 2019 HOUSTON OPEN TICKETS

Ticket options for this year’s event, held at the Golf Club of Houston on October 7th - 13th, include daily General Admission Tickets, Week-Long Tickets, and Premium Ticket Packages. Tickets can be purchased online at the new Houston Open website houstonopengolf.com. Please note, General Admission ticket prices will increase September 1.

ASTROS GOLF FOUNDATION

An annual donation of $500,000 will be made from the Astros Golf Foundation to the First Tee, a non-profit organization that helps shape the lives of young people from all walks of life by introducing them to character education and life skills through the game of golf. All other net proceeds will be distributed throughout the Houston community by the Astros Foundation. In addition, beginning in 2020, the Astros Golf Foundation will make an annual contribution of $1 million to the City for the benefit of the Houston Parks and Recreation Department and Memorial Park Conservancy.
