Astros RHP Lance McCullers, Jr. to start Game 4

CHICAGO, IL - Astros RHP Lance McCullers, Jr. will start vs. the Chicago White Sox tomorrow afternoon in Game 4 of the American League Division Series at Guaranteed Rate Field. First pitch is scheduled for 1:07 p.m. CT. The Astros currently hold a 2-1 lead in the series.

RHP Jose Urquidy was scheduled to start today’s game before it was postponed by Major League Baseball due weather issues.

McCullers last pitched on Thursday in Game 1 of the ALDS vs. the White Sox where he picked up the win, hurling 6.2 scoreless innings in the Astros 6-1 victory at Minute Maid Park. In six career regular season starts vs. the Chisox, McCullers is 4-1 with a 2.17 ERA and 43 strikeouts in 37.1 innings pitched (0.88 WHIP). In his most recent start at Guaranteed Rate Field on July 16, he hurled 7.0 strong innings in a 7-1 Astros win (7.0 IP, 2 H, 1 ER, 2 BB, 10 SO, 94 pitches). In 15 career postseason appearances overall (8 starts), McCullers has posted a 2.87 ERA (17ER/53.1IP).
