Atlanta Braves hire veteran communications executive Jennifer Mastin Giglio as senior vice president of communications and PR

Jennifer Mastin Giglio to join the Braves on July 17 to oversee corporate and baseball communications

ATLANTA (June 15, 2023) – The Atlanta Braves have hired seasoned communications leader Jennifer Mastin Giglio to serve as their new Senior Vice President of Communications and PR. In her new role, she will serve as a member of the Braves executive leadership team and lead corporate and baseball communications.

She will be a valued member of our executive team, helping to drive internal and external positioning for the Atlanta Braves and the Braves Development Company.”

Giglio brings with her over 20 years of diverse communications experience, leading strategy and media relations for high-profile, globally recognized events, including the World Series, All-Star Games, and presidential campaigns. She most recently served as the Senior Vice President and Chief Communications Officer of the Washington Nationals Baseball Club, which she joined in 2014.  In that role, she was a senior advisor to the ownership group and oversaw baseball communications, crisis and issues management, corporate communications, social media, and publicity around major events at Nationals Park.

Prior to joining the Nationals, Giglio was Senior Vice President of Corporate and Public Affairs for Ogilvy Washington, where she counseled an array of corporations, non-profit organizations, governments and associations, including Eli Lilly, DuPont, Operation Smile, the Livestrong Foundation, the Dikembe Mutombo Foundation, the government of Mexico, CARE International and the USO. Her work earned her the prestigious Emerging Leader Award from Washington Women in Public Relations in 2011, and the Alumni Achievement award from The George Washington University in 2019. Before Ogilvy, Giglio served as Deputy Press Secretary and Director of Operations for a Presidential Committee and was appointed as a Congressional Liaison to the Department of Education by the George W. Bush Administration.  She also held positions with a National Political Committee and Presidential Inaugural Committee.

She earned a Bachelor of Science in Marketing Management and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Virginia Tech. Giglio then went on to earn her Master of Arts in Political Management from The George Washington University.

She comes to Atlanta with her husband, Brian, son, Carter, and daughter, Grace.
