The Toronto Blue Jays have selected the contract of INF Vinny Capra from Triple-A Buffalo and he will be active for tonight’s game. To make room on the active roster, RHP Bowden Francis has been optioned to Triple-A Buffalo.

Capra, 25, has hit .304 with six extra-base hits while driving in 10 runs across 18 games for Triple-A Buffalo this season. The 5-8, 175 lb. right-handed hitter was selected by the Blue Jays in the 20th round of the 2018 First-Year Player Draft. Over four career minor league seasons, the native of Melbourne, FL, has kept a .263 average while notching 58 doubles, six triples, 18 home runs, 123 RBI, and 29 steals in 270 games.
