Brewers Community Foundation announces online 2020 Drive for Charity

Rallying Brewers fans to support local nonprofits providing basic needs for families

September 24th, 2020

MILWAUKEEBrewers Community Foundation (BCF) traditionally hosts its annual “Drive for Charity” four times a year during the baseball season. BCF today announced the event will be staged online, Sept. 24-27, to support nonprofit organizations keeping children and families in Greater Milwaukee safe and warm this winter with basic needs such hats, mittens, gloves and toiletries. Donations will be accepted beginning today in increments of $10 or more.

Drive for Charity is proudly presented by the Brewers Leadership Council: American Family Insurance, Aurora Health Care, Delta Dental of Wisconsin, Harley-Davidson, Johnson Controls, Lubar & Co., Molson Coors, the Milwaukee Admirals, Northwestern Mutual, WE Energies Foundation and West Bend.

Several companies have pledged support for the annual Drive for Charity. American Family Insurance, Harris Turer / Milwaukee Admirals and We Energies each issued challenge grants, encouraging others to join in the effort.

This year, due to extreme economic challenges many families are facing, there is an increased need for winter necessities. “We are so thankful for our Brewers community and their continued support for Brewers Community Foundation’s Drive for Charity,” said BCF Executive Director Cecelia Gore. “We know how brutal a Wisconsin winter can be. Through financial contributions, our fans and supporters can have a dramatic impact on nonprofits working to keep our most vulnerable populations warm this winter season.”

Participating in this drive provides another opportunity for Brewers fans to make a difference. Fans who donate $10 or more will be recognized on Brewers Community Foundation website.
