MILWAUKEE – Brewers Community Foundation (BCF) awarded 13 local students with scholarships this season through the Allan H. Selig, Players/Coaches and Miller Park Community scholarship programs. More than $50,000 will be donated to this year’s recipients of the scholarship programs, which have awarded more than 235 scholarships for college education through BCF since 2003.
 
“Brewers Community Foundation is proud to continue our annual support of local students and their pursuit of higher education,” said Brewers Community Foundation Executive Director Cecelia Gore. “The class of 2020 has already seen unpresented challenges and continued to learn, grow and make a positive impact. Our 2020 scholars are poised to be future leaders in our community and we are excited to play a role in their continued success.”
 
Recipients of the Allan H. Selig scholarship are graduating seniors from a Wisconsin high school class of 2020 who have been accepted to a Wisconsin college or university. Students receiving the Player/Coaches and Miller Park Community scholarships are planning to or currently attend a Wisconsin college or university.
 
Scholarship amounts range from $1,000 to $2,500 per year with recipients of the Allan H. Selig scholarship receiving a total of $10,000 over the next four years. Students can visit brewers.com/BCF next year to apply for 2021 scholarship programs.
 
BCF harnesses the pride, passion and commitment of Brewers fans, players and other supporters to positively impact the lives of children and their families in the Greater Milwaukee area and throughout Wisconsin. Over the past ten years, BCF has generated more than $42 million to support local nonprofits in the areas of health, education, recreation and basic needs. In 2019, approximately 200 nonprofit organizations received funding through the Foundation’s initiatives.
