Brewers wives host 'Jersey Off Their Back' auction to benefit Brewers Community Foundation

Fans Have the Chance to Own a Piece of Milwaukee Brewers History, While Raising Money for Brewers Community Foundation

August 20th, 2021

MILWAUKEE – The Brewers Wives are excited to present the annual “Jerseys Off Their Backs” auction where fans can bid on game-used jerseys worn and autographed by Milwaukee Brewers players and manager, Craig Counsell. Online bidding begins today and is available through Thursday, Aug. 26 at brewers.com/wivesauction.

The annual auction is a favorite among fans and is one of several prominent fundraising events the Brewers Wives host to benefit Brewers Community Foundation (BCF), the charitable arm of the Milwaukee Brewers Baseball Club. This year, fans can bid on jerseys worn by the players and manager during the games against the Washington Nationals (Aug. 20-22) and Cincinnati Reds (Aug. 24-26) at American Family Field.

BCF harnesses the pride, passion and commitment of Brewers fans, players and other supporters to positively impact the lives of children and their families in the Greater Milwaukee area and throughout Wisconsin.

Over the past decade, BCF has provided more than 2,000 grants totaling in excess of $19 million to nonprofit organizations across Wisconsin that support programs focused on its four areas of concentration: health, education, recreation and basic needs. Approximately 200 nonprofit organizations receive funding annually through the Foundation’s initiatives. In addition to the fans’ support of the Foundation, all uniformed players, their families, team executives and front office staff contribute their time and/or financial resources to BCF. Visit brewers.com/BCF to learn about ways you can join the team that goes to bat for those in need.
