ST. LOUIS, Mo., September 13, 2023 – The St. Louis Cardinals announced today details regarding the team’s plan to celebrate the legendary career of Cardinals pitcher Adam Wainwright during the final weekend of the regular season at Busch Stadium from September 29-October 1.

The 42-year-old, who ranks among the franchise leaders in wins (199, 3rd), winning percentage (.609. 3rd), innings pitched (2,661.1, 3rd), games (477, 3rd), games started (410, 2nd), and strikeouts (2,199, 2nd), will retire at the end of the season following an 18-year Major League career, all with St. Louis.

Friday, September 29 vs. Cincinnati Reds (7:15 PM)

• Fans are invited to stay after the game for a special postgame musical performance by Waino, who will be joined by his Opening Day accompaniment, as he debuts three new original songs from his upcoming album, followed by an in-stadium fireworks show.

Sunday, October 1 vs. Cincinnati Reds (2:15 PM)

• The team will host a special on-field pregame ceremony honoring Adam and featuring his former teammates and Cardinals dignitaries beginning at approximately 1:30 PM.
