Cleveland, OH – The Cleveland Guardians today announced the second annual CLE Inspires Week, taking place from August 20-27, 2023. The week-long celebration focuses on sharing the Cleveland Guardians community efforts, spotlighting Guardians beneficiaries, and fundraising for Cleveland Guardians Charities (CGC).
CLE Inspires week will be highlighted by the fifth annual Cleveland Guardians Charities Giveathon, which has raised over $1 million since its inception in 2019. The week will also encapsulate a Manny Ramirez Hall of Fame Celebration event and José Ramírez’s field unveil at Clark Field.
All proceeds from CLE Inspires Week benefit CGC and its beneficiaries, which includes:
- Cleveland Guardians RBI Program – Fully funded baseball and softball teams filled with Cleveland Metropolitan School District students
- CMSD Baseball & Softball – CGC covers costs associated with the 11 schools in the Senate League that have high school baseball & softball programs
- PlayBall CLE! – A grant program offered to underserved baseball, softball and adaptive leagues across Northeast Ohio
- Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Ohio – Our partnership benefits all 50 clubs in Northeast Ohio and over 10,000 youth
CLE Inspires Week will feature multiple ways for Guardians fans and partners to participate in the fundraising efforts:
- Manny Ramirez Hall of Fame Celebration benefitting CGC – August 20
- Spend a night on the diamond at Progressive Field listening to stories from Cleveland Guardians Hall of Famer Manny Ramirez. The event is open to the public and tickets can be purchased, here.
- MLB Auction Site – The auction for CLE Inspires Week will run from August 20-27 and will feature a 2019 All-Star Game base signed by MVP Shane Bieber, a José Ramírez singed bat and more.
- 5th Annual Giveathon – August 23
- Donations of $100-or-more during the broadcast on August 23 will be eligible for an autographed baseball from one of four current Cleveland Guardians players: José Ramírez, Andrés Giménez, Bo Naylor and Gavin Williams, while supplies last.
- Donations of $500-or-more will be eligible for a signed Jim Thome Hall of Fame baseball and Hall of Fame bag while supplies last.
