Colorado Rockies announce 2022 Opening Day roster

DENVER – The Colorado Rockies today officially announced their 2022 Opening Day 28-man roster.

Two players are on the Opening Day roster for the first time: right-handed pitcher Justin Lawrence and infielder Alan Trejo. Infielder Brendan Rodgers opened the 2021 season on the MLB injured list, making 2022 his first Opening Day as an active player.

Outfielder Charlie Blackmon is a member of his ninth career Opening Day roster, surpassing Larry Walker and tying Carlos González and Troy Tulowitzki for the second-most in franchise history behind Todd Helton’s 16.

The Rockies open their 30th Major League season tomorrow afternoon at 2:10 p.m. at Coors Field against the Los Angeles Dodgers.
