PHOENIX – The Colorado Rockies today officially announced their 2024 Opening Day active roster. As part of that announcement, the Rockies have selected the contract of infielder Alan Trejo from Triple-A Albuquerque and have designated infielder Warming Bernabel for assignment. Additionally, the Rockies have placed right-handed pitcher Daniel Bard and left-handed pitcher Lucas Gilbreath on the 15-day injured list.

Seven players will appear on their first Opening Day active roster: pitchers Peter Lambert, Nick Mears, Anthony Molina and Victor Vodnik; outfielders Brenton Doyle and Nolan Jones; and infielder/outfielder Michael Toglia. Molina will make his Major League debut in his first appearance.

Outfielder Charlie Blackmon, the longest tenured active Rockie entering his 14th Major League season, is a member of his 11th career Opening Day roster, the second-most in franchise history behind Todd Helton’s 16.

The Rockies open the 2024 campaign at the division rival Arizona Diamondbacks with a 7:10 p.m. MST / 8:10 p.m. MDT first pitch at Chase Field. After four games in Arizona (Thursday-Sunday) and three in Chicago against the Cubs (Monday-Wednesday), the Rockies return to Coors Field for the 2024 Home Opener on Friday, April 5 at 2:10 p.m. MDT against the Tampa Bay Rays.
