D-backs reinstate Taylor Clarke and Jon Duplantier from the 10-day injured list, option Duplantier to Triple-A Reno

Domingo Leyba optioned to Reno following last night’s game

PHOENIX — The Arizona Diamondbacks reinstated RHP Taylor Clarke [@t_clarke9] (left back inflammation) and RHP Jon Duplantier (right shoulder inflammation) from the 10-day injured list. Duplantier was then optioned to Triple-A Reno. Following last night’s game, the D-backs optioned INF Domingo Leyba to Reno.

Clarke, 26, was placed on the injured list on July 3 and will make the start for the D-backs tonight. In 10 games (9 starts) Arizona this season, he is 2-3 with 1 save, a 6.21 ERA (29 ER in 42.0 IP), 32 strikeouts and 17 walks. He made 1 rehab start for Single-A Adv. Visalia on July 13 vs. Lake Elsinore, throwing 6.0 shutout innings with 3 strikeouts.

Duplantier, 25, was placed on the injured list on June 12. He is 1-1 with 1 save, a 4.32 ERA (12 ER in 25.0 IP), 24 strikeouts and 9 walks in 8 games (3 starts) for Arizona this season.

Leyba, 23, was hitting .333 (3-for-9)/.400 OBP/.444 SLG with 1 double, 1 RBI and 1 walk in 10 games for Arizona this season.
