Arlington, Texas — Texas Rangers pitcher Dane Dunning will partner with Big League Impact to host his first “Swinging for Impact” fundraising event at Topgolf The Colony at 6 p.m. on Sunday, July 16.
Proceeds raised from the all-ages event will benefit the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, whose mission is to cure MS while empowering those impacted by the devastating central nervous system disease.
Participants who purchase tickets at bigleagueimpact.org/topgolftexas will get the opportunity to compete for a good cause alongside select Texas Rangers players and coaches, with the winning team of six golfers taking home a three-month Topgolf Platinum Elite membership.
“Through my wife’s work with the National MS Society, I’ve seen how tough this disease can be and how tough the people facing an MS diagnosis must be to fight it,” said Dunning. “I’m thrilled to help bring Big League Impact’s Swinging for Impact event to Texas — it’s a great opportunity to bring Rangers Nation together in support of such an important cause, and I can’t wait to see what we can accomplish together!”
Tickets can be purchased online through noon CT on Monday, July 10, while supplies last, at $250 per person or $400 per pair of golfers. Each ticket includes Topgolf with a Rangers player or coach, food, and three free drink coupons to be redeemed for beer or wine.
Through his Big League Impact “Swinging for Impact” event, Dunning continues his long-time support of the National MS Society. This season, Dunning has also pledged a donation to the MS Society for every personal strikeout and every Rangers team win as part of the #ALLWIN Texas Campaign.
Fans unable to attend the Topgolf event on Sunday, July 16, can support Dunning’s mission by donating to his #ALLWIN Texas Campaign as he seeks to raise $15,000 before the season’s end. Fans who donate $5 or more at bigleagueimpact.org will be eligible to receive exclusive prizes.
