Arlington, Texas — The Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation today announced three-time GRAMMY Award winner Darius Rucker will headline the 2022 TEX Gala taking place on Monday, June 20, at 6 p.m.

Since 1991, the Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation has been dedicated to improving the lives of individuals in the community, especially children, the military and first responders, and their families. The annual TEX Gala raises money for the Foundation to serve organizations and individuals throughout the North Texas community and beyond.

Event attendees will experience a red-carpet arrival and enjoy a fantastic meal on the playing surface of Globe Life Field. Live and silent auctions will feature exclusive Rangers experiences and an assortment of sports and Hollywood memorabilia, with the evening culminating in a live performance from country music star Darius Rucker.

Rucker first attained multi-Platinum status in the music industry as the lead singer and rhythm guitarist of GRAMMY award-winning Hootie & the Blowfish. Since re-introducing himself to the world as a Country artist, he won his third career GRAMMY award for Best Solo Country Performance for his 9x Platinum version of Old Crow Medicine Show's "Wagon Wheel," one of the top five best-selling Country songs of all time.

Rucker has released four albums that topped the Billboard Country albums chart and produced 10 No. 1 Country Radio singles. His current single, “My Masterpiece,” follows recent feel-good No. 1 “Beers And Sunshine,” with both set to be featured on his forthcoming album planned for 2022.

Tables and sponsorships for the 2022 TEX Gala, presented by Choctaw Casinos & Resorts can be purchased at texasrangers.com/texgala.

Last year's inaugural TEX Gala, headlined by GRAMMY Award-Winning country music artist Tim McGraw, raised a total of $1.625 million for the Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation.
