Dodgers recall OF Matt Beaty

LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Dodgers today recalled outfielder Matt Beaty and placed infielder Chris Taylor on the 10-day injured list with a left forearm fracture.

Beaty, 26, returns for his fourth stint with the Dodgers. In 37 games with the team, he is slashing .278/.297/.407 with two homers and 17 RBI. With Oklahoma City, he was batting .303 (36-for-119) three homers and 19 RBI in 31 games.

Taylor, 28, left last night’s game after being hit by a pitch in the left wrist. The initial x-rays were negative, but further imaging revealed a fracture. The former Virginia Cavalier has played in 90 games for the Dodgers, batting .261 (68-for-261) with eight homers and 41 RBI. In his six Major League seasons, he has slashed .262/.331/.438 with 47 homers and 193 RBI in 505 games.
