Dodgers Recall RHP Jaime Schultz

RHP Ross Stripling Placed on IL

LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Dodgers announced that they have recalled right-handed pitcher Jaime Schultz from Triple-A Oklahoma City and placed right-handed pitcher Ross Stripling on the 10-day injured list with right biceps tendinitis, retroactive to July 25.

Schultz, 28, returns for his second stint with the Major League squad. In three games with the Dodgers, he tossed three scoreless frames with two walks and three strikeouts. In 36 games with Oklahoma City this season, he posted a 1-2 record with a 5.66 ERA (22 ER/35.0 IP) and 53 strikeouts. Since June 1, the righty has posted a 1-0 record with a 3.72 ERA (8 ER/19.1 IP) and 30 strikeouts.

Stripling, 29, left the game in bottom of the fifth inning on Wednesday night. The Texas A&M product has appeared in 26 games (12 starts) for the Dodgers this year, recording a 4-4 mark with a 3.64 ERA (31 ER/76.2 IP) and 76 strikeouts. In four seasons with the Dodgers, he is 20-24 with a 3.55 ERA (147 ER/373.0 IP) and 360 strikeouts.
