February 23rd, 2021

MINNEAPOLIS-ST. PAUL, MN – Baseball is back, and the Minnesota Twins, in conjunction with partners FOX Sports North, Entercom’s 830 WCCO (WCCO-AM) and 102.9 The Wolf (KMNB-FM), and the Treasure Island Baseball Network (TIBN), today announced the 2021 Twins Spring Training telecast and radio broadcast schedules. FOX Sports North will telecast 13 Grapefruit League games for the back-to-back American League Central Division Champions, while 830 WCCO will air 10 contests (all simulcast on 102.9 The Wolf) and the Treasure Island Baseball Network (TIBN) will broadcast 17 games (all of which will be streamed, live and free of charge, via the RADIO.COM app and website, or on RADIO.COM via select smart speakers).

The 17 broadcasts will all originate on-site from ballparks in Florida and will feature a mixture of play-by-play and analysis from TIBN radio broadcasters Cory Provus (the 2020 Minnesota Sportscaster of the Year), Dan Gladden and Kris Atteberry, plus FOX Sports North crews consisting of play-by-play voice Dick Bremer alongside Twins alumni LaTroy Hawkins and, for the first time ever, Twins Hall of Famer Johan Santana.

Thirteen of the Twins’ Spring Training games will appear on FOX Sports North (rebranding to Bally Sports North in the coming months), beginning with a 12:00 p.m. CT telecast on Wednesday, March 3 when Minnesota hosts the Boston Red Sox at Hammond Stadium. There will be seven simulcasts featuring a combination of FOX Sports North cameras, graphics and replays, accompanied by analysis and play-by-play from TIBN talent Provus or Atteberry, and Gladden; an additional three simulcasts will take the opponents’ broadcast feed (Wednesday, March 10 and Wednesday, March 24 at Tampa Bay, and March 19 at Atlanta). All games will stream live on FOX Sports GO – available via the FOX Sports GO app.

Bremer and Hawkins will call the Twins’ Saturday, March 20 night game against the defending American League champion Tampa Bay Rays, while Santana will make his broadcast debut in a three-man booth for the Twins’ 5:00 p.m. CT contest vs. the Atlanta Braves on Friday, March 26. Santana, the only two-time Cy Young Award winner in club history and part of four division-winning Twins teams, will be back on the mic alongside Bremer for the Saturday, March 27 tilt against the Rays.

Entercom’s 830 WCCO and 102.9 The Wolf will begin its broadcast schedule at 12:00 p.m. CT on Sunday, February 28 for the Twins’ Grapefruit League opener vs. Boston. In addition to airing 13 home games from Hammond Stadium, TIBN will also provide broadcasts of three Twins road games at JetBlue Park against their Fort Myers neighbors, the Red Sox (Saturday, March 6; Thursday, March 25; and Sunday, March 28), and the Friday, March 19 road contest in North Port against Atlanta.
