HOUSTON, Texas – The Astros announce Sherwin-Williams as the Official Paint Partner of the Houston Astros.
Sherwin-Williams has been involved in impactful paint projects at Minute Maid Park, including the Structural Steel Paint Project and painting around the stadium.
"We are thrilled to be the official paint partner of the Houston Astros" said Cory Hill, Vice President of Sales, Southwestern Division at Sherwin-Williams. "For more than 150 years, Sherwin-Williams has taken pride in supporting renovations and projects from homes to communities. We are honored that our innovative coatings are a part of such an important landmark for local sports fans."
Sherwin-Williams was the original paint used to paint the green steel at Minute Maid Park 22 years ago and recently the Astros began the Structural Steel Paint Project to repaint the steel at the park. Over 11,500 gallons of paint will be used and it will take over four years to complete the repainting project.
“We are very excited to officially announce Sherwin-Williams as the Official Paint Partner of the Astros,” said Marcel Braithwaite, Senior Vice President, Business Operations for the Astros. “We consistently use their paint for projects around the ballpark because of its quality, and we are thrilled to be partnering with them for exciting projects from murals, to face painting to the Structural Steel repainting project.”
