MIAMI – In a team effort to grow the game of baseball and softball, the Miami Marlins Foundation, Bally Sports Florida and Good Sports are working together to provide our youth in South Florida the opportunity to have access to quality equipment at local parks and leagues. This equipment grant aims to reduce the financial barrier to local baseball and softball organizations by supplying the necessary equipment to their program. This will allow organizations to fill the financial gap and increase participation in the game in a safe way.

Local baseball and softball organizations interested in applying for the equipment grant can apply at

www.goodsports.org/miami-marlins/. The deadline to apply is Tuesday, November 30.

Requirements needed to qualify for the equipment grant:

• Organization directly serves youth between the ages of 3-18 years old
• Organization serves youth in high need communities
• Organization charges a participation fee of $299 or below
• Organization is located in the United States
• Organization provides access to physical activity for kids
