SAN DIEGO – The San Diego Padres announced today that Opening Day at Petco Park presented by Sycuan Casino Resort against the San Francisco Giants on Thursday, March 28 has sold out. A limited number of park passes are still available in the newly renovated Gallagher Square by visiting www.padres.com/tickets. The Padres will also keep Petco Park open to ticketed fans on Thursday to host a watch party for the San Diego State Aztecs as they take on UConn in the Sweet 16 (4:39 p.m. tipoff).

Fans are encouraged to come out for the remainder of Opening Weekend against the division-rival Giants with a homestand that promises to be full of fun and excitement for everyone. On Friday, March 29, the Padres are giving away an Opening Series Hat presented by Sycuan Casino Resort to the first 40,000 fans in attendance, and the club is hosting their first Party in the Park presented by Southwest Airlines, which will feature $5 drink specials, live music and other fun activities from the time gates open until first pitch.

On Saturday, March 30, fans can arrive early for the 4:15 p.m. game versus the Giants to jam out with Padres House Band presented by Nova Kombucha playing your favorite mix of pop, country, and oldies in Gallagher Square. The series versus San Francisco concludes on Sunday, March 31 at 1:10 p.m. with the pageantry of Military Opening Day presented by USAA where all active military and their families will receive a 25% off advance tickets, and KidsFest presented by SDGE, which features bounce houses, face painters, and appearances by the Paw Squad in the all-new Gallagher Square starting at 10:30 a.m. The afternoon will conclude with Kids Run the Bases, where kids 14-and-younger can run the bases on the playing field following the conclusion of the Padres and Giants game.
