Padres Holiday Giving Tour presented by Gallagher set to return in 2021

SAN DIEGO - The San Diego Padres announced today the return of their annual holiday tour presented by Gallagher as part of their Holiday Giving tradition. Throughout the following weeks, the Padres will support various organizations and have a presence at a number of community events throughout San Diego County. Padres coaches, alumni, executives, staff and broadcasters, along with Pad Squad, the Swingin’ Friar and the Padres Volunteer Team, will attend several community events as they help spread holiday cheer.

The Padres Holiday Giving Tour began in late November with the organization’s annual Turkey distribution event and will continue into December beginning with volunteers serving lunch at Father’s Joes Village on Wednesday, December 1**.** New to the holiday tour in 2021, the Padres will host 100 guests consisting of families from the Boys & Girls Club and matches from Big Brothers Big Sisters for a special screening of “Elf” in partnership with Rooftop Cinema Club Embarcadero on Monday, December 6. Another new addition this year will be a Holiday Youth Baseball Clinic at the Jackie Robinson YMCA, allowing approximately 100 boys and girls from ages 6-10 to participate in a free baseball clinic.

Other events and organizations that will be touched during the holiday tour include the annual Shop With A Cop event, sorting food at Feeding San Diego, participating in the Armed Services YMCA’s Operation Holiday Joy event, a surprise bike distribution at a local elementary school in partnership with San Diego Gas & Electric, distributing groceries and toys at the Toys for Joy event, participating in Assemblymember Lorena Gonzalez’s Diaper Drive, and helping to distribute toys as part of the CA Highway Patrol’s Kid Toy Drive among many others.
