WHAT: The Phillies will continue a 24-year holiday tradition at one of the largest homeless shelters in Philadelphia. On Monday, December 11, guests currently sheltering at Bethesda Project’s Our Brother’s Place will be served a home-cooked holiday dinner by the Phillies family.
- All the holiday meals will be donated and prepared by Phillies front office volunteers, with food donated by The GIANT Company.
- There will also be special guests as celebrity servers, including:
- Phillies broadcasters Ruben Amaro, Jr.,Larry Andersen,Scott Franzke and Ben Davis.
- 1993 National League champion Mickey Morandini.
- Phillies ambassador Scott Palmerand Executive Vice President David Buck, who will also welcome attendees on behalf of the club.
- Plus, Our Brother’s Place guests will receive drawstring bags filled with personal care items, donated by SEI.
- The event is part of the Phillies Season of Giving presented by SEI, a month-long initiative to pay it forward and celebrate the holiday season with various charitable events.
Bethesda Project’s Our Brothers’ Place is an emergency shelter for homeless men, providing three meals a day and supportive services, including referrals to housing and treatment programs.
