Prior to today’s game against the Oakland Athletics, the Phillies made the following roster moves:

Phillies President of Baseball Operations David Dombrowski made the announcement.

Sánchez, 26, is scheduled to make his second start of the season for the Phillies this afternoon in Oakland. He made one start for the club in his first stint with the Phillies on April 22 against the Colorado Rockies and did not factor into the decision in a 4-3 victory. The Dominican Republic native has spent the majority of his season with the IronPigs where he has gone 3-2 with a 4.35 ERA (24 ER, 49.2 IP), 29 walks and 44 strikeouts in 10 games (8 starts). Over his last three starts (since May 28), Sánchez has posted a 2-0 record with a 1.50 ERA (3 ER, 18.0 IP).

Originally signed by the Tampa Bay Rays as an amateur free agent on July 15, 2013, Sánchez was acquired by the Phillies for infielder Curtis Mead on Nov. 20, 2019.

Ortiz, 27, has appeared in nine games for the Phillies this year over two stints with the club and has a 3.46 ERA (5 ER, 13.0 IP) with three walks and 10 strikeouts. The California native recorded the first save of his major league career in Tuesday night's win against the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Originally selected in the first round (30th overall) of the 2014 MLB Draft by the Texas Rangers, Ortiz was claimed off waivers by the Phillies from the Giants on Nov. 9, 2022.

Domínguez, 28, has appeared in 32 games for the Phillies this season and has gone 1-2 with a 4.33 ERA (13 ER, 27.0 IP), 11 walks and 28 strikeouts. The Dominican Republic native has recorded 10 holds and 25 of his 32 relief appearances have been scoreless.

Domínguez was originally signed by the Phillies as an amateur free agent on Oct. 6, 2011.

Marte, 28, made the Phillies Opening Day roster and over his four stints with the club in 2023, he has made 15 relief appearances. The Dominican Republic native has worked in 10 games for the IronPigs this year, posting a 1-1 record with a 3.38 ERA (4 ER, 10.2 IP), three walks and 16 strikeouts.

Originally signed by the Kansas City Royals as an amateur free agent on July 19, 2012, Marte was acquired from the San Francisco Giants by the Phillies in exchange for left-handed pitcher Erik Miller on Jan. 8, 2023.
