Pirates announce Family Fun Days at PNC Park

The Pittsburgh Pirates today announced the launch of Family Fun Days to kick off the summer at PNC Park. In addition to the return of the Fun Zone to Federal Street, Family Fun Days will introduce Family Concession Value Pricing.

Pirates fans are encouraged to arrive early on Sundays to enjoy a pre-game celebration on Federal Street that will cater to the entire family. Highlights of the Family Fun Zone, presented by C&M Studios, will include Pirates inflatables, games and mascots.

Inside PNC Park, families can continue the summer fun by enjoying classic ballpark fare with the launch of Family Value Pricing. The special value menu will feature a range of $5 items sold at Fan Faves Concessions Stands, including hot dogs, cracker jacks, pretzels, peanuts, and popcorn, as well as sodas and water.

Select Sundays throughout the season will also feature giveaways, geared towards the youngest Pirates fans.

Sunday giveaway dates are:

• June 9 – Eat’n Park Smiley Cookie for kids 14 & under
• June 23 – David Bednar Kids Replica City Connect Jersey presented by AHN as part of City Connect Weekend
• July 7 – Kids Beach Towel presented by Levin Furniture as part of Bucco Luau Weekend
• July 21 – Kids Sauerkraut Sal Pierogy Plush presented by Mrs. T’s Pierogies as part of Yinzerpalooza Weekend
• August 4 – Kids Topps Baseball Card
• August 18 – Kids Grover Plush doll as part of Sesame Street Day

Additionally, the Pittsburgh Pirates will host several Sunday summer events celebrating kids in the Pittsburgh Region:

• May 26 – Youth Baseball & Softball Day, including a pre-game on field parade
• June 9 – Scout Day, participating scouts will receive an exclusive Pirates scout patch
• June 23 – Youth Baseball & Softball Day, including a pre-game on field parade
• August 4 – Youth Baseball & Softball Day, including a pre-game on field parade
• August 18 – Sesame Street Day, with the purchase of a special ticket, fans will receive an exclusive Pirates & Sesame Street Big Bird Bobblehead

At the conclusion of Sunday games, kids are invited to head to the field to run the bases, courtesy of Coen Markets.
