The Pittsburgh Pirates today announced plans for Fan Appreciation Weekend, presented by PNC, during the final series of the season, from Friday, October 1 through Sunday, October 3 vs the Cincinnati Reds. As the season comes to a close, each game throughout the weekend is filled with promotions and activities, including a just announced addition of a Zambelli Fireworks Night on Saturday, October 2.
As a thank you to all fans throughout the entire weekend, the Pirates are offering a special $10 ticket value offer for each game. The tickets are on sale now at pirates.com/fanappreciation.
Friday night is a Free Shirt Friday as the first 20,000 fans through the gates at PNC Park will receive a free Pirates PGH T-shirt, courtesy of PNC. Once inside the ballpark, fans can take part in a special Miller Lite Happy Hour at the Crow’s Nest bar.
On Saturday, the Pirates will host an Oktoberfest-themed Jim Beam Block Party beginning at 4 p.m. The night will include a Pirates stadium blanket promotion, courtesy of Mrs. T’s Pierogies, in addition to the postgame Zambelli fireworks.
Sunday is the final Kids Day of the season at PNC Park with fun for families on Federal Street beginning at 11 a.m. Once inside the park, every ticket scanned at the gate will automatically be entered to win one of several prizes given away throughout the game. Prizes include a weekend golf or ski trip to Seven Springs Mountain Resort, gift cards to support local small businesses, $500 Giant Eagle gift cards, a 50” smart TV, Apple Airpods, an Xbox One X, or even a suite to one of the upcoming concerts at PNC Park.
Sunday will also include the popular Shirts Off Our Backs promotion as fans will have the opportunity to win a game-used jersey from a Pirates player and a meet-and-greet on the field immediately after the game.
In addition to the events above, fans following Pirates social media accounts throughout the weekend will have the opportunity to win prizes such as Pirates tees, autographed items and more.
