The Pirates return to PNC Park following a trip to the West Coast for a nine-game homestand featuring a trio of three-game series against the Boston Red Sox, the Cincinnati Reds and the Atlanta Braves. This will mark the first time since 2014 that the Red Sox have visited PNC Park. The weekend is full of highlights including the return of the Skyblast show where fans will be fully immersed in Fireworks Extravaganza. The final series of the homestand will feature Military Monday and Pup Night.

Tuesday, August 16, 2022 – Red Sox vs. Pirates (7:05 p.m.)

• Jewish Heritage Night Join members of the Jewish Community for our annual Jewish Heritage Night at PNC Park. The Pirates are bringing back an optional pre-game Kosher meal in Picnic Park. • Skyblast Fireworks Extravaganza: This special Zambelli Fireworks show presented by IBEW Local Union 5 will feature an incredible postgame fireworks display that will light up all of Pittsburgh from several locations, including the Allegheny River, PNC Park roof and more!

• Pirates Charities Pirates Favorite Things Basket Auction: Pirates Charities will once again host the Pirates Favorite Things Basket Auction to help support Pirates Charities programming here in the Pittsburgh region. • Youth Baseball & Softball Day: The Pirates will celebrate youth baseball and softball teams from all around Western Pennsylvania. WPIAL championship teams will be honored on field pregame, and all participants can participate in a pregame on field ceremony.

• Barre at the Ballpark Day: The Pirates are offering a unique fitness experience at PNC Park. Arrive early on Sunday and participate in a Pure Barre class on the field. Tickets are only $19 and include the class and a complimentary Pirates branded stretch band.

Monday, August 22, 2022 – Braves vs. Pirates (7:05 p.m.)

• Military Monday: Throughout the season, the Pirates have used their Monday home games to honor and highlight local military personnel and organizations serving those who have served. On August 22, Pirates Charities will highlight the work of Veteran’s Breakfast Club, an organization that works to build a nation who understands and values the experiences of our military veterans. The organization will partake in the pregame ceremony, where they will be presented with a $10,000 check. In addition, the Pirates will honor a local family from the Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (T.A.P.S.) who lost a loved one in the line of duty. Pirates players and coaches will wear special camo-inspired uniforms for the game to pay tribute to those who have served or are currently serving our country.
