Pirates recall Aaron Fletcher from Triple-A Indianapolis; option Miguel Yajure to Triple-A Indianapolis

The Pittsburgh Pirates today recalled LHP Aaron Fletcher from Triple-A Indianapolis. To make room on the 26-man roster, Pittsburgh optioned RHP Miguel Yajure to Indianapolis.

Fletcher, 26, will be making his fourth stint with the Pirates this season. The six-foot, 220-pound southpaw has appeared in eight Major League games with Pittsburgh this season, going 0-1 with a 9.35 ERA (9 ER in 8.2 IP) and six strikeouts. In 13 games with Triple-A Indianapolis this season, he has gone 1-1 with a save, a 1.53 ERA (3 ER in 17.2 IP), 9 strikeouts and a 1.30 WHIP. Fletcher has appeared in 18 games over parts of three Major League seasons with the Seattle Mariners (2020-21) and Pirates (2022).

Yajure, 24, started last night’s game for the Pirates in Washington and threw 4.0 shutout frames, allowing four hits.
