The Pirates have recalled infielder Kevin Kramer from Triple-A Indianapolis.

The left-handed hitting Kramer has appeared in one game with the Pirates this season; he walked as a pinch hitter and scored a run on 7/6 vs. Milwaukee.

He went 5-for-37 with four RBI in 21 games with Pittsburgh last season, making his big league debut on September 5.

In 113 games with Indianapolis this season, the 25-year-old Kramer hit .260 (102-for-3933) with 30 doubles, 10 homers and 54 RBI. 

He made 50 appearances at second base, 20 in left field, 10 in right field, 15 at third base, five at shortstop and one at first base.

Kramer will wear uniform #44.
