The Pirates have placed infielder/outfielder Phillip Evans on the 45-day injured list and have recalled infielder/outfielder José Osuna from the club’s alternate training site. Evans sustained a concussion and injuries to the face and mouth during yesterday’s game.

In addition, RHP Nick Mears has been optioned to the club’s alternate training site and LHP Brandon Waddell has been selected to the Major League roster. Waddell had been added to the club’s 60-man player pool on Friday. He will be wearing uniform #68.
