Rangers do not tender 2023 contract offer to RHP Nick Snyder

November 18th, 2022

Arlington, Texas — The Texas Rangers today announced that the club will not tender a 2023 contract offer to right-handed pitcher Nick Snyder prior to tonight's 7:00 p.m. CT deadline, making him a free agent.

The Rangers tendered contract offers to each of the other 32 eligible players on the roster.  The club already had seven players under contract for 2023: RHP Jon Gray, RHP José Leclerc, INF/OF Brad Miller, RHP Jake Odorizzi, LHP Martín Pérez, SS Corey Seager, and 2B Marcus Semien.

The 27-year-old Snyder made 2 relief appearances across a pair of brief stints with Texas in 2022: April 14-23 and May 20-22.  He also averaged 12.1 strikeouts per 9 innings over 41 games with Triple-A Round Rock last season.

Following today's transaction, the Rangers now have 39 players on the club’s Major League roster.
