The Placerville, Calif. native was a non-roster invitee to Rangers Major League Spring Training camp for a second consecutive season in 2026, appearing in 3 Cactus League games (2.1 IP, 2 R-ER). The lefty carries a career 14-18 record, 17 saves, and a 3.70 ERA over 181 minor league games/18 starts spanning five seasons with Rangers affiliates. He was acquired by Texas from New York-AL on April 2, 2022, with RHP Albert Abreu, in exchange for catcher Jose Trevino, after he was originally selected by the Yankees in the 7th round of the 2021 MLB Draft from the University of Oregon. Ahlstrom never saw official game action with a New York-AL minor league affiliate.

Freeman, 25, is seeking his 2026 Rangers debut after opening the season on the Injured List due to a lumbar stress reaction in his back that caused him to miss Texas’ first 55 games. Following a 9-game rehab assignment with ACL Rangers (Rk.), Frisco (AA), and Round Rock (AAA), Freeman was activated and optioned to Round Rock on May 28. In 12 total minor league games this season, the utilityman is hitting .273 (12-44) with 2 home runs, 2 doubles, and 11 RBI, including going 7-for-13 (.538) with 2 homers, one double, and 6 RBI over his last 3 games Thurs.-Sun. for the Express.

The Ponoma, Calif. native did not appear in any Cactus League games for Texas this Spring after sustaining the injury at the outset of camp. Freeman made his Major League debut in 2025 for Texas when he appeared in 36 games over two MLB stints (July 18-24, Aug. 17-end of season), batting .228 (26-114) with 3 home runs and 15 RBI. The Rangers’ 2025 Tom Grieve Minor League Player of the Year slashed .336/.382/.549/.931 (129-384) with 19 home runs, 25 doubles, 71 RBI, and 75 runs in 97 games with Round Rock a season ago. Freeman was originally selected by Texas in the 4th round of the 2019 MLB Draft from Etiwanda (Calif.) H.S. and has spent all seven seasons of his professional career in the Rangers chain.

Curvelo, 25, will be embarking on his 2nd stint with the Rangers in 2026, having posted a 5.40 ERA (3 ER/5.0 IP) over 4 relief appearances for Texas from April 5-14 before landing on the Injured List with a right biceps strain on April 15. He appeared in 2 games on rehab assignment with Triple-A Round Rock before being activated and subsequently optioned to Round Rock on May 20. In 9 games for the Express this season, Curvelo is 1-1 with one save and a 5.63 ERA (5 ER/8.0 IP), last tossing a scoreless, hitless frame on Saturday in the club’s victory over Salt Lake (11 pitches/7 strikes).

Collyer, 25, has gone 1-1 with a 3.71 ERA (7 ER/17.0 IP), 14 walks, and 15 strikeouts in 18 relief appearances over two stays on the Rangers active roster this season (April 15-May 18, May 24-31), last appearing Texas’ 6-3 win over the Royals on Sunday at Globe Life Field (1.0 IP, 1 H, 2 R-ER, 2 BB, HBP, 1 HR, 0 SO, 23 pitches/11 strikes).

Haggerty, 32, has spent the entire season on Texas’ active roster, batting .159 (7-44) with 2 stolen bases in 36 games, while making defensive starts in leftfield (8) and centerfield (2). The first date Haggerty is eligible to be activated is Thursday, June 4.

Martin, who turns 40 tomorrow, has gone 1-1 with a 7.84 ERA (9 ER/10.1 IP) in 12 relief appearances for the Rangers this season. This marks his second stint on the 15-day Injured List in 2026 as he missed 30 games from April 15-May 18 due to a right shoulder impingement. Martin last pitched on Saturday vs. Kansas City, permitting a pair of earned runs in one inning of work (1 H, 1 HR, 1 BB, 18 pitches/12 strikes).

Garcia, 29, has missed the Rangers last 36 games due to left shoulder inflammation, as he was originally placed on the 15-day Injured List on April 23, retroactive to April 20. The southpaw has gone 0-1 with a 3.38 ERA (3 ER/8.0 IP) in 9 relief appearances for Texas in 2026. The first date Garcia is eligible to be activated is June 19.

OUTFIELDER JARRED KELENIC SINGED TO MINOR LEAGUE CONTRACT: The Rangers today announced that the club has signed OF Jarred Kelenic (pronounced ‘KELL-nick’) to a minor league contract and assigned him to Triple-A Round Rock. The 26-year-old Kelenic inked a minor league deal with the Chicago White Sox on January 2 and had his contract selected to Chicago-AL’s active roster on April 29, batting .226 (12-53) with one home run and 4 RBI in 19 games before he was designated for assignment last Monday.
