April 8th, 2021

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- The Tampa Bay Rays and hospitality partner Levy have announced new and returning food and beverage options, enhanced health and safety measures for concessions and a focused approach on technology to offer a frictionless fan experience as fans are welcomed back to Tropicana Field in 2021. The 2021 season is presented by Bayfront Health St. Petersburg.

New Food Favorites

  • Nathan’s Famous is the new official hot dog of the Tampa Bay Rays. The only hot dog served at Tropicana Field this season, Nathan’s Famous are known for superior taste and the highest quality.
  • Beans & Barlour joins the Tropicana Field lineup this season with boozy desserts and milkshakes. Beans & Barlour opened its doors in the summer of 2018 as the first coffee and dessert lounge in St. Petersburg and the first restaurant to feature alcohol-infused ice cream in the Tampa Bay area. Offerings include cotton candy and caramel and peanut butter milkshakes.
  • New concession items have been added to the most popular food destination at Tropicana Field on the Budweiser Porch. Levy introduces two new concepts, Modern Bird and Pig & Potato, with creative takes on chicken wings and a pork and beer cheese sandwich.

Returning Food Favorites

  • Pacific Counter, Beachside Hospitality Group and St. Pete Hospitality Group all return this season to the list of local favorites at Tropicana Field. Pacific Counter moves to the Budweiser Porch, serving signature rice bowls and sushi, while Beachside Hospitality Group continues to serve Crabby’s menu items in the First Base Food Hall and St. Pete Hospitality Group offers its Beach Drive concept in the Third Base Food Hall.
  • Coppertail Brewing Company and Kahwa Coffee also return to the ballpark serving some of the best craft beer and coffee the Bay area has to offer. Coppertail bar carts can be found in both the First and Third Base Food Halls and Kahwa is in the concourses behind center field and home plate.

In partnership with Bayfront Health St. Petersburg, the Rays collaborated with Major League Baseball and local public health officials to determine health and safety measures for concessions and retail at the ballpark ahead of fans returning to games. This includes daily health screenings for all food-service and retail employees; PPE, including gloves, face shields and masks, changed regularly during shifts; plexiglass barriers installed at all points of sale; frequent cleaning and sanitizing of all food-service equipment; and sanitizing of all high-touch surfaces after each contact.

  • Prepackaged Items—Individually-wrapped and Grab & Go fan favorite items are offered where possible. Condiment and refill stations have been modified to packaged service for the safety of guests.
  • Cash-Free and Rays Pay—Tropicana Field continues to be cash-free this season. The Rays encourage fans to use contactless payments, such as Apple Pay, Google Pay and Rays Pay, available through the MLB Ballpark app. The Rays Pay feature allows fans to add a preferred payment method to the app for fast, secure, touch-free payments for both concessions and merchandise. Season Members save 15 percent on all purchases of food and gear when using Rays Pay at Tropicana Field. The MLB Ballpark app can be downloaded at the App Store or Google Play.
