Vince Naimoli and Bivens Family Pregame Tribute: Twice in the past week, the Rays family was struck by tragedy.

On Sunday night, the original owner and CEO of the then-Devil Rays, Vincent J. Naimoli, passed away following a long illness at the age of 81. On Tuesday, minor league pitcher Blake Bivens suffered a terrible family tragedy that claimed the lives of his wife, Emily; one-year-old son, Cullen; and mother-in-law, Joan Bernard. On Friday, the Rays will honor them all with a moment of silence. The Rays will also recognize Naimoli’s contributions in a ceremony.
