Red Sox and MGM resorts present special nighttime Spring Training workout broadcast live on NESN Wednesday at 7 p.m.

February 22nd, 2021

BOSTON, MA – The Red Sox and MGM Resorts today announced a special nighttime Spring Training workout that will air live on NESN Wednesday, February 24, at 7 p.m. The workout, which is the first time the club has moved its morning workout routine to the evening, will be aired during an hour-long show entitled ‘MGM Sox at Sundown.’

Red Sox Manager Alex Cora will be part of the broadcast along with members of the 2021 Red Sox team. The show will also feature players wearing microphones during their workouts. NESN host Tom Caron and baseball Hall of Famer and NESN analyst Jim Rice will host the show from the NESN studios in Watertown.

The nighttime workout and live broadcast is made possible through the club’s partnership with MGM Resorts, which began in March of 2019 designating the global hospitality and entertainment company the official and exclusive resort casino of the Boston Red Sox. Since that time, MGM has also become the naming rights partner for the MGM Music Hall at Fenway, a new, state-of-the-art performing arts center being developed on the corner of Lansdowne and Ipswich Streets slated to open in 2022.
