Red Sox place RHP Isaiah Campbell on 15-day injured list

Club recalls infielder/outfielder Bobby Dalbec from Triple-A Worcester

BOSTON, MA -- The Boston Red Sox today placed right-handed pitcher Isaiah Campbell on the 15-Day Injured List with a right shoulder impingement. To fill Campbell’s spot on the active roster, the club recalled infielder/outfielder Bobby Dalbec from Triple-A Worcester.

Campbell, 26, has pitched in seven games for the Red Sox this season, allowing one run in his first five outings (4.1 IP) and nine runs in his last two (2.0 IP). The right-hander was acquired from the Seattle Mariners in exchange for infielder Luis Urías on November 17, 2023. He owns a 4.63 ERA (18 ER/35.0 IP) with 35 strikeouts in 34 career games with Seattle (2023) and Boston (2024).

Dalbec, 28, has appeared in six games with Boston this season, making one start at first base, one at third base, and one as the designated hitter. The right-handed hitter was optioned to Worcester on Monday and went 1-for-7 with a home run in two games at Syracuse. In 300 career Major League games, he has hit .228 (199-for-872) with 46 home runs and a .737 OPS.
